Sleeping Semi-Independently


After almost five and a half years, the cuties are sleeping in their own beds through the night.  They still need me to be in the room watching them fall asleep but it's major progress in my book.  This progress is done with incentives ... a gift after sleeping 6 consecutive nights in their own bed.  But whatever!  We all need incentives to embrace change, even though we know the change would mean progress.  I can't believe they are the age they are and I am that much older.  It was time that felt slow in the everyday details of life with kids.  But looking back, time just flew by.  I miss many moments.  I hope I recorded some of those moments.  Kids are a labor of love.  It's the joy they bring that make that hard selfless labor forgettable.
