A Trip to Discover Independence in Washington DC

This is a memorable end-of-the school year trip because it's the first without daddy.  We did fine.  We miss him but mommy insisted on giving it a try and didn't invite daddy.  We loved the Air and Space Museum.  Ethan wants to go back soon.  Mommy wants to visit the art galleries again because she fell in love with this one artist who was not in his studio over the weekend.  Artimus was just happy all around ... as long as she can be with mommy.

DC represented independence of a nation, and this trip represented mommy's independence as a single mom with two kids who could make it fun!

A break from the heat and sightseeing to make some art with friend.

Girls gone wild at the harbor!

We can't help being silly, and who is Sandra Day O'Connor, Mommy?

The space shuttle puts a smile on my face ...

I can fly ... to the gift shop.

Let's run into the Library of Congress for some cool air!

Mommy, stop telling me to lower the camera!  I got it!

Do you see the US Capital behind us?  It's big and round on the top, with a pointy statute.
